1. Can I use BEAM to treat Aname any condition?

Yes! BEAM is not designed to treat any one specific condition. It addresses anything that negatively affects your system; in one word your Abaggage@ as a whole.

  2. Is BEAM useful in treating weight problems?

Yes! Of course, it is part of the negative condition (Abaggage@). However, overweight is usually the result of a dysfunctional coping mechanism related to some past trauma. Thus, the obese person will not usually loose weight until the emotional trauma triggering the program is mostly removed. Therefore, loosing weight effortlessly is usually the last thing to happen but when it does happen, it happens almost automatically, without noticing or trying.

  3. How young can an individual be treated with BEAM?

People of any age can be treated with BEAM. With young children surrogates are used (often the mother or care giver), and BEAM can also be done by intent.

  4. What is the meaning of Abad memories@?

Bad memories are those memories that still carry unresolved negative perceptions, beliefs or emotions. They can be described as Agumball memories@ jamming the circuits. BEAM brings up those Agumball memories@, reframes the memory and releases the gum (unprocessed emotion), thereby restoring the memories in a neutral or positive way.

  5. Can BEAM clear allergies?

Yes! Like anything else negatively affecting the person, allergens are embedded somewhere in the emotional layers. As those layers get cleared, so too are the allergens as well as the body’s negative reaction to them.

  6. Can BEAM TherapyTM be used with dissociative disorders?

Yes! These persons will often seem to dissociate during the clearing procedure, just as they did in the past, but by the end of the process they are back in the present.

  7. Can BEAM TherapyTM be used with psychotic conditions?

According to Dr Beattie, at least two of her patients with schizophrenia are doing very well. One who was treated for psychotic episodes and took the therapy is off medication and has had no episode since.

  8. Will BEAM TherapyTM decrease the creativity of artists, for example, writers or painters?

No! This kind of clients will become more creative; develop more insight and skills; and increase their ability to feel and express themselves.

  9. How many BEAM sessions do I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on the age and the condition. The BEAM process usually takes between 5 and 65 sessions for healing. Generally speaking, the younger the person, the fewer the visits and the more severe the problem, the more visits are required. The average number is between 3 and 35 sessions for adults, 15 for adolescents and 6 for children.
In term of frequency, once a week is usually the norm. It takes a little time for the energy field to re-pattern and allow the next layer to form and surface. Thus, doing it more frequently does not translate in more efficiency over time.

  10. Do medications interfere with BEAM TherapyTM?

No! Not even with multiple drugs.

  11. Does BEAM TherapyTM have side effects?

During a session, a few clients may experience some physical symptoms. These symptoms usually are those they had at the time of the original trauma, which were stored with the trauma and are now being released. Common ones are: pain, headaches, shortness of breath, tightness in the chest, nausea, cough, muscular jerks, etc. After the session some clients may experience fatigue, flu-like symptoms, diarrhea, etc. which are physical expressions of releases or re-patterning occurring in the system. These usually dissipate within 48 hours.
